Experience
The co-founder of LERN, Greg Marsello has been involved with LERN since our beginning in 1974.
With a background in business, he ran his family’s jewelry factory for two decades, managing a workforce of 500 and working with such jewelry companies as Avon and companies carrying Joan Rivers’ and Cher lines of perfume.

He also started a local adult education program in Providence, RI, called The Learning Connection, which is now the largest avocational continuing education program in the state, registering more than 10,000 participants a year.

Greg served as President of LERN and head of the Board of Directors for 12 years before joining the staff full-time as Vice President for Organizational Development. He oversees LERN’s finances, operations and contract education areas. He writes regularly for the LERN Magazine, authors how-to manuals, creates LERN software programs, and is one of our highest rated conference presenters.

A native of Rhode Island, Greg lives with his wife Melinda and their two dogs in Tiverton, Rhode Island, along the beautiful Sakonnet River leading to the Atlantic Ocean.

Melinda Foley-Marsello is also an educator and teacher. She served in the LERN leadership in the 1970s, making the Foley-Marsello union the first LERN wedding.

He has three sons, Brendan, Cory and Jason.
