Opening Reception (7:00 - 9:00 p.m.)
Join the LERN faculty for complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages and get to know your fellow Institute participants. Please see the hotel’s information board for the location of this event.
Monday
City Tour (4-6pm)
See the highlights of San Diego with
a drive through the Gaslamp Quarter,
Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo, Old
Town, and the San Diego Harbor before
heading on to Coronado where you’ll
catch the sunset from the bay bridge.
The cost for the tour, including transportation,
is $25.
Dinner at Fred's Mexican Cafe (Depart hotel at 6pm)
Join us for a great dinner in Old Town.
You’ll start with chips, salsa, and guacamole,
and have a choice of 4 entrees.
Dessert is also included.
The cost for
dinner, including transportation, is $29.
Tuesday
Trip to La Jolla (3:45-8pm)
Enjoy an afternoon and evening along the
San Diego coast line. You’ll drive past
Seaworld on your way to the communities
along the coast. Your ultimate destination
is La Jolla where you will have
time to shop and dine downtown. You
may choose to dine on your own or with
the group at Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza.
The shuttle will make a variety of stops
around La Jolla including Sammy’s.
Pizza at Sammy's (dinner beings at 6:15pm)
The return from Sammy’s will be at
about 7:30 p.m.
Transportation to La Jolla and back is $22.
Dinner will be on your own in La Jolla.
Pizza at Sammy’s is $16. If you elect
dinner only, you must supply your own
transportation.
Transportation to and from La Jolla, and
Dinner at Sammy’s is $35
Wednesday
Dinner at do'Medici Cucina Italiana
Join us for a three-course Italian dinner
in the Gaslamp Quarter. You’ll start with
either soup or salad, have a choice of two
entrees and finish dinner with tiramisu.
The cost for dinner, including transportation,
is $49.
Social Events
Fees for social events are non-refundable and must be received by Monday, January 21, 2008. Transportation is included for all events.
