Social networking has exploded. It went from being something teenagers did for fun (MySpace) to a viable tool for professional networking and marketing. In the near future, this new form of media will be more important and effective than traditional means of getting the word out about our lifelong learning programs.
Although social media is something new, social networking is not. We’ve always used social networking for professional purposes. Cocktail parties, “business after hours,” banquets, golf outings, and giving awards are all ways people have engaged their customers. The difference now is that we may not be face-to-face – and we can engage a much larger group of people (or people who are spread out throughout cyberspace).
In this 1-day seminar, you’ll find out how to use social networking applications like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Blogs, YouTube, and more to reach your customers. Unlike traditional media, social media is NOT about pushing content – it’s about engaging people. Discover how to engage your customers to increase participation and loyalty resulting in higher retention rates for your program. |
