  • or other achievement in lifelong learning.

LERN’s primary criterion in selecting exemplary programs is the quality of being at the leading edge of the field of lifelong learning.  In addition, the following criteria are considered: originality, innovation, appropriateness and adaptability as a model for other programs, and measurable outcomes. 

  • Winners are announced at the LERN Conference, attended by more than 800 lifelong learners from around the world!!
  • Press releases are provided for local and regional media.
  • Information on winners as well as all submissions are featured on the LERN web site
  • Full-page articles appear in issues of the LERN member magazines

Redesigned Alumni Homepage

We completely redesigned the alumni homepage and website to increase alumni engagement with the college and to give them a reason to return to our site. We emphasized usability, ease of use and interactivity to make it interesting and engaging for alumni to return. Our goals were to increase alumni traffic and provide a cutting edge homepage that alumni would feel proud of and to return to use again.

New exemplary features added:

  • Photo slideshow - goes thru 5 photos which we control
  • "Buzz" section news - with RSS feed
  • Alumni profiles - new profile on refresh of homepage
  • Link to photo albums with slideshows for each event
  • Link to event page with online signup and online pay option
  • Integration to our online community with login bricklet located upper left
  • Links to our official pages on the social networks - lower left
  • Cover of magazine with link to magazine pdf
  • Leverage google search technology with search button - upper right

An Administration page is setup for us to add buzz news items, alumni profiles, events and swap out photos on the fly to the homepage to keep it fresh and relevant.

Register by August 1, 2010, and take advantage of our early registration discount. If your fiscal year ends June 30, you can charge it to either fiscal year.
