New Technique in the area of the Front Cover Design:
As part of the recently adopted college Educational Master Plan (EMP), the college has sought ways to brand its look, message, feel, and commitment to reach out to all the members of the greater community it serves. The concept of celebrating an illustrious past while positioning to be a leader as a global community college of the future defines the charge. College publications under the direction of separate departments, according to the activity, are each responsible for incorporating the theme.
The submitted brochure cover for PCC Extension (formerly Extended Learning) is the third one embracing the new concept. The name change also is a part of the new design and expanded vision under the EMP.
The top of the course catalog, "Proud Past," shows catalog covers over time beginning in the mid 1980's through Fall 2010. the lower part of the course catalog, "Global Future," shows the many ways the department now communicates and stays in touch including use of the online catalog, Facebook, and Twitter.
I design/select all of our course catalog covers and am particularly pleased with the one submitted with this application. Feedback from our customers/students since making the change(s) has been consistently positive and whether coincidence, direct result, or a combination, Fall 2011 registrations are up 17.34% over the same time last year.
